GASWORKS ARTS PARK
Cameron Steens
Venue & Ticketing Coordinator (NOV 21 - APR 22)
Administration Coordinator (Feb 21 - NOV 21)
Gasworks Arts Park is a unique combination of nature, arts and play spaces.
The arts complex includes two theatres, three gallery spaces, a café, function and workshop spaces. The artist studios support sixteen resident visual artists. The reserve hosts a farmers market once a month.
A surprise first step into Arts Venue management, during Victorian COVID lockdowns. Baptism by fire, due to the organisations needs during the difficult times, I left Gasworks with many new skills to enrich my artistic practice. I’m thankful to these specific wonderful people - Devon Cartwright, Siofra Lyons, Benjamin Morris, Abbie Potter and Angus Robson.

Working in a small roster of public facing receptionists, managing all inquiries for the numerous events & offerings, ticket sales, supply orders and arranging maintenance contractors. Running the staff Health & Wellbeing program, including organising events, catering and other amenities.
Key Achievement: Redecorating the entire office, selling off older furniture to fund the changes and increasing mobility and staff wellbeing.
